A Shift Toward Spring

Monday, August 25, 2008 | |

It's finally warmed up a bit. The storms have stopped moving through and it's not as windy as it has been. This mean I can finally take my camera out without fear of getting it soaked. The photos below are from my walk through Sandy Bay to the School of Art on the Hunter St. Pier.

This is Sandy Bay Road, looking west toward Hobart. This is where I shop, get dinner from time to time, buy gas to fill up my gnarly car, and my podiatrist's office is here as well. Note Chickenfeed on the left. It's prices are "cheep, cheep." I've not eaten at McDonald's yet and don't intend to while I'm here.

I'm greeted with this friendly fellow every day. He's ecstatic to hold that circular saw.

I'm not sure what to caption here.

Hedging. Serious business in Tasmania.

This is a yellow mini. This yellow mini has a zebra-esque interior.

Starfish out in front of the art school. The big one farthest to the top-right is actually a huge one on top of a pile of babies.

...Until next time..
