So temperatures have been hovering around 5-8*C during the day, and dropping to about zero at night. It's rained every day this week, and was quite windy yesterday. It's strange seeing all this rain and wind, but never getting any lightning and thunder -- I suppose the mountains block it. Despite all this, I'm doing well.
I realized yesterday that I've never taken any photos of my house yet. I snapped these this morning.
As you can tell, it was raining. This is my house from the front (David Ave). My bedroom is the one just to the left of the door with three big windows.
This is the living room, which I don't spend a whole lot of time in since our TV decided to stop working. Louis, my roommate from Melbourne, says that if you leave it on for 20-25 minutes, the picture will eventually come around when the tube warms up. However, I'm usually too impatient to wait and have been getting my TV fix from the web. Also note our decorative spider atop the chandelier.
This is my bedroom, with me facing toward the hallway and living room. I've moved the bed and desk around since I've moved in, but the giant mirrored closet is pretty immovable.
I've also taken note of Australian marketing techniques. They tend to be a bit more blunt that American campaigns, and I think my energy drink is a shining example of that. The drink is called "MOTHER" since it is "THE MOTHER OF ALL ENERGY DRINKS." It tastes generically like any of the other big-name energy beverages, but the reading on the can is a riot. In the center of this picture it says "Best drunk freeze your nuts off cold." Underneath that is the caffeine content warning for "kids, up the duff women, or the weak who just can't tolerate it." Brilliant!
...and I just realized I've left my external hard drive at home with the rest of my new photos, so this is it for today.
